This is Duncan after our morning walk with his red coat on. He loves his walks, we go out everyday no matter the weather. Some days we are the only ones in the park. It’s nice though, this morning the snow was coming down lightly and while it was cold it wasn’t bitter. It felt like we were in the middle of a Christmas song.
I was thinking that my blog needs a lot more photos, makes it more interesting. I’m also trying to take more photos and improve my skills. I take a decent picture and every once in a while a really good one. I just want to take more. So here is another.
A festive winter scene… makes me think of hot cider and getting cozy by the fire.

The used car shopping ordeal is finally over. After much research and driving back and forth, and having P. look at it twice and asking for a favor from a very loving uncle to give an honest opinion…..she is now the proud owner of a 1998 Acura. It’s a little black 2 door coupe and she looks so cute in it. It of course has a few issues, but the mechanics are good and Acuras last forever so I feel pretty good about it.
One of the great things about being over 29 is that you just don’t take as much crap from anybody. Used car salesmen in particular. It was great, we marched in with all our facts and figures gave him our price ($1000 under what they were asking) and when he said no, handed back the keys, said thank you very much and left. An hour later they were on the phone talking to P and trying to reach me. After it was all said and done, we only came up $200.
We picked it up last night and it was so cool to see her drive off in her new wheels. Oh and by the way, she payed for the car herself. Not a penny came from P or I. We have good kids!

So much for the take a picture of your Thanksgiving table. I failed miserably. By the time I remembered the camera, all that was left was dirty dishes and soiled napkins. That’s why I haven’t posted in so long, I was feeling guilty. But now we move forward.
The car that M drives is starting to go. We talked the ex into signing over the title and are now in the process of trying to find her a new used car. What a project. I have to say that this is one of those times where age and experience trumps. I will not be bullied into making an offer before I’m ready. I will not be nice and keep my mouth shut when I think the thing is overpriced and under-maintained. Anyway, I think we found something that will suit. It is a 1998 Acura CL with 119,000 and a clean CARFAX. Hopefully P will go with M to take a look this afternoon and we can get the ball rolling. The sooner this is behind me the better. Car shopping takes a lot of time, time that is already in short supply during the holiday season. There are a lot of other things I could be doing besides talking to used car salesmen.
